Pass Plus – How much do you value your life?
At Really Good Driving School we’re fully approved and registered to deliver the Pass Plus Course. Pass Plus is a minimum of six
hours course to further develop the skills of newly qualified drivers in assured and safe driving. The course is designed to give drivers vital tuition and experience of different environments and situations, including:
- Town/City Driving
- Country/Rural Driving
- All Weather Driving
- Motorway Driving
- Dual Carriageways
- Driving at night

Young motorists are twice as likely than average to have a crash and 1 in 5 drivers are involved in a crash during their first year on the road.
In 2007, 40% of passengers killed or seriously injured – meaning lost limbs, paralysis, brain injury and other life-changing injuries – were in a car driven by a young driver*
1 in 8 British drivers are under 25, but a quarter of drivers who die in traffic collisions are in this age group.
The Pass Plus course has NO THEORY OR PRACTICAL TEST, your ‘Really Good’ instructor will complete a record form declaring that you have reached the required standard for each of the 6 modules.You will then receive a certificate from the DSA as proof that you have completed the course.
The training sessions
Pass Plus is a practical course and all modules should be practical sessions. However, local conditions and time of year may mean that some modules need to be given as a theory session. A theory session could be given if there is no motorway nearby. Generally at least five and a half out of six hours should be spent in the car.
You will not have to take a test at the end of the course but you will be continually assessed during the modules.
Recording progress
Your instructor will complete a training report form that you’ll sign and date when you reach the required standard in each module. To pass the course you’ll need to reach a satisfactory standard in all the course modules. You’ll be given a progress record to help you to keep track of your progress throughout the course.
Complete the Pass Plus course and lower your insurance costs
The Pass Plus certificate is recognised by at least 69% of insurance companies, and will entitle you to up to 35% off your first years insurance premium. In real terms this could mean a saving of around £450!
